Adoptions are a great gift for family or friends and a valuable contribution to our wildlife hospital. We have set up an adoption scheme for some of our resident animals, including owls, a fox, and an iguana.
We ask for a minimum donation of £25, for which you will receive the following:
- A picture of the animal you have chosen to adopt
- The story of how the animal came to be here
- A copy of our latest newsletter
- A certificate of adoption
The money raised from these adoptions will go to building new enclosures for the residents and their food. You may also come to visit your adopted animal. However, this must be by appointment only. You may of course also adopt an animal as a gift for someone else.
Becky the Tawny Owl
Becky is 15 years old and has been here for four years. She was an imprinted bird, found starving in the wild.
Hustler the European Eagle Owl
Hustler was kept as a pet but was neglected. His owners handed him over to us. He is around 12 years old.
Rocky the Red Fox
Having been hit by a car as a cub, Rocky was taken to the local vet, where he was operated on, to remove his tail. He was then reared by one of the vet nurses. He became too tame to be released back into the wild. He is now a resident at the wildlife hospital.
Debbie the Green Iguana
Debbie loves to eat fruits. Her diet includes bananas, mangoes, and apples. She is waiting for someone who can provide her forever home.
